VASQUE FOOTWEAR:
CLARION ‘88
To launch their throwback 1988 boot, Vasque Footwear wanted to make a big splash — so we dove into the archives and built a campaign that celebrated the history of the Minnesota hiking brand. A key component of the strategy was to seed the boot to social media influencers, creating an unboxing experience that was tinged with nostalgia and the urge to post to Instagram. Taking inspiration from the archives, we designed a box and filled with goodies like custom-illustrated stickers, a postcard featuring a vintage Clarion ad, and a pair of the boots themselves. The result was a barrage of social media buzz around the release of the new boot from influencers that grew into a brand-led social media campaign around the release.
